His latest venture is based on the film American Gangster, starring Denzel Washington. After seeing the film, Jay-Z said he felt inspired to write a new album (also called American Gangster) about his experiences on the streets. Heart of the City is one of the songs on this album, and is featured in the previews for the movie.
